Specialized products such as baits and silica dusts, are commonly used to control cockroach populations.  Additionally the use of an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) can be used to control the ability of an insect to MOLT. Molting is a process unique to insects, therefore these products are not harmful to mammals.

Going GREEN can mean different things to different people.

When it comes to pest control, a “green” approach usually means using exclusion techniques, low impact/targeted products, or natural materials to help control the pest population around your home or business.  At Terminix, we offer various low impact options to our customers including:
Integrated Pest Management: The use of “non-chemical” measures to control the ability for pests to enter your home or business.  These procedures include sealing cracks, the use of copper wool in weep holes around buildings, the screening of openings in attics, etc. Simply put, IPM is the process of letting nature find another place to live; other than inside your home.

Special “all natural” pesticides are gaining in popularity in the industry.  These products use citrus, cinnamon, and other natural substances to both repel and control pest populations.  These “all natural” pesticides can work well when applied at the appropriate frequency by a professional pest control operator.
